Frequently Asked Questions

How much does this cost?

Every one of our clients asks the same question. We answer the same way: it depends. There are certain set costs associated with any trip - group airfare on viable commercial carriers, group hotels in the quality accommodations that match your needs, food plans ranging from dinner-only to full boarding, sightseeing, tickets for associated events, etc.

As each of our tours is customized for our clients, the costs per person can range from low to high. It's like asking, "How much is that car?" without knowing the brand, model, or options associated with it. Tell us your dates and needs, and let us determine what it will cost to match your requirements exactly. At Harvard Sports Tours, it's what we do. Perfectly.

What about the details?

The most important tour we have it yours. You are putting your faith and money into your event of a lifetime. We worry about the details, from making sure the travel meets your schedule, your on-site tour guide speaks your language, matches are suitable to your group, accommodations are worthy of the money you are spending, etc. Let us handle the details. We are setting up special areas of our web site to meet your needs, watch for them soon.

What if my plans change?

As with any travel, the earlier you can notify us of changes to dates, number in party, or adding and dropping members the better. If you can tell us 60 days before a tour, generally costs don't change. But that change 3 days before you leave are going to incur extra costs in travel, landed expenses, etc.

Words that should worry you.

We have created a translation guide for you as you shop for tours. We offer it here for your review.

If you hear: "We need to book this today to guarantee seats on that plane..." You should think: "He must have a mortgage payment to make, or has no relationship with the airlines." Harvard Sports Tours prides itself on great relationships with air and land carriers. They might not be able to get you seats on a flight on a particular day or time - but we should be able to.

If you hear: "I can arrange a trip to [Insert Tournament name here]" You should think: "If we get knocked out of the tournament and have four days in [Insert country name here], what are we going to do?" At Harvard Sports Tours we shy away from tournament packages and match your team's level and requirements with matches appropriate for them wrapped around touring and activities. We've done it before, and will make it work perfectly for you.

If you hear: "Tournament sponsored housing near the fields." You should think: "Dorms." At Harvard Sports Tours we understand that your dream trip seldom includes staying in a dorm. You are paying a lot of money to travel overseas and you should be treated well. Afterall: It's your money.

If you hear: "Local cuisine on the tournament site." You should think: "Inedible fish. For five straight days." Enough said.
